During the Second World War he was an artist of the agitation train, he created portraits of fighters, commanders, partisans. Participated in the mosaic decoration of the Palace of Soviets in Moscow (1945), the monumental and decorative painting of the Main Pavilion and the Pavilion of the Ukrainian SSR at VDNH in Moscow (1955). He founded in 1962 and headed the mosaic workshop in Kiev (later – the section of monumental art). Member of All-Union (since 1943), republican (since 1947) and foreign (since 1958) art exhibitions.
