Sizov Vladimir Vladimirovich (born in 1946) is a representative of the middle generation of Ukrainian Soviet artists. Painter. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. He was born on July 13, 1946 in Leningrad. He studied at the Voroshilovgrad Art College (1961-1966), then at the Kiev State Art Institute (1966-1972), where his teachers were famous masters of Ukrainian Soviet art V. Kostetsky and V. Shatalin. After graduation, he, together with his wife Valentina, goes to work in Donetsk. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Vladimir and Valentin Sizov were forced to leave Ukraine, they settled in Tambov. During these years, Vladimir Vladimirovich painted portraits of famous Tambov residents, created significant paintings. Personal exhibitions were held in Tambov, in Poland, Austria and Ukraine, where the artist lived for 19 years. Member of the All-Union and republican art exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists since 1976. Active creative activity combines with public work. He headed the work of the youth association at the Donetsk organization of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR from 1976 to 1981. He was elected a member of the Board of DOSH (1976-1981 and from 1986 to the present). He was awarded with the diplomas of the Ministry of Culture of the Ukrainian SSR, the Ministry of Coal Industry of the Ukrainian SSR, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ukrainian SSR, and others. Personal exhibitions were held in Moscow (2003) and Tambov Art Gallery (2006). Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Sizov belongs to the number of artists whose understanding of painting has been brought up by the traditions of realistic art and the work of remarkable artists of our time.
