Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Born September 13, 1948 in the city of Krivoi Rog (Dnepropetrovsk region). He graduated from the Odessa Pedagogical Institute (1971). A teacher from the profession – A. Rusin. Member of NSU (1977). Works in the field of easel painting. Picturesque canvases by Victor Maklok are vivid, distinctive, distinguished by a special national color and individuality of the author’s handwriting. Among the variety of plot compositions, the theme of Ukraine occupies a special place. Knowing the rich history, life and heroic pages of the life of the Cossacks, the author creates canvases filled with heroic romanticism and humor. His works are also characterized by ideological and patriotism, which is the main credo of the artist’s work. Member of regional, republican and all-Union exhibitions.
