Soviet Ukrainian painter. Honored Artist of the USSR (1979). Master of landscape painting. He was born on October 5, 1918 in Khoroli (now Poltava region). He graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute (1948). Teachers by specialty – O. Kokel, S. Prokhorov. Member of the Great Patriotic War. During the years 1969-1989 he taught at the Kharkov Art and Industry Institute. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1952). The works are kept in the Museum of Modern Art of Ukraine, Alupka Palace Museum, in official institutions, as well as in private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Member of the CPSU. He worked in the easel painting industry. The main works: “In the forest front-line” (1958); “Hay mowing” (1960); “Native fields” (1960 – 1961); “Fields are boundless” (1964); “Rodne Banners” (1967 – 1968) and others. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1949, all-Union since 1951. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and medals. The works of the painter are represented in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
