Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Goncharenko Valentina Yakovlevna was born on 10.08.1932 in the city of Enakievo, Donetsk region. In 1963 she graduated from the Kiev State Art Institute, where her teachers in the specialty were G. Yakutovich, V. Kostetsky, K. Trokhimenko. Goncharenko V.Ya. – Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1970. The main works: “Youth” (1970), “Portrait of G. Statkevich” (1983), “Portrait of A. Tkachuk” (1990), Podolsky landscape “(1999). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1970. On September 6, 2006 in Amsterdam at the auction “Sotheby’s” painting by V.Ya. Goncharenko “Sorting the catch”, 1972, 127 x 137, oil on canvas (lot 427) was sold for 4348 US dollars .The works of the painter are kept in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
