Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Yanchak Elena Vatslavovna was born in 1918 in the town of Stakhanov, Lugansk region. She graduated from the Odessa Art College. B.M. Grekova, and since 1938 she studied at the Leningrad Academy of Arts with B. Ioganson. Since 1950, participated in exhibitions, including foreign ones (Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Japan). Worked in a realistic manner in the genre of landscape and portrait painting, she wrote still-lifes in her own picturesque technique of impressionistic influence characteristic only of her. The artist’s works are presented in state and private collections in Ukraine and abroad, they are in constant demand on the Art market. She lived and worked in Odessa.
