Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. He was born on September 12, 1919 in the village of Nekhvoroshi, Poltava region. He graduated from Kharkov Artistic College (1939), Kharkov Art Institute (1951). Teachers by specialty – V. Kasiyan, D. Shavikin, S. Besedin, G. Tomenko, J. Karas. Member of the CPSU. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He worked in the field of easel painting and graphics. Was engaged in teaching activities – Ukrainian Printing Institute. Ivan Fedorov. Major works: “The opening of the monument of V. and. Lenin in Lviv “(1954)” On guard of the October Revolution “(1967); graphic series »Collective Farm Days» (1959) »; Winter Lions “(1960 – 1963)”; Fishermen “(I960 – 1963)” Carpathians, Nameless Height “(1979) and others. Participated in republican exhibitions since 1960. Lived and worked in the city of Lviv. The works of the painter are widely represented in many state and private colleges both in Ukraine and abroad.
