Zvyagintsev Rostislav Mikhailovich

Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Zvyagintsev Rostislav Mikhailovich was born in 1938 on the island of Sakhalin. He graduated from Dnepropetrovsk Art College. The teacher is MS Borovsky. From 1961 to 1967 he studied painting at the Kiev Art Institute. Teachers: I. Tikhiy, A. Plamenitsky, V. Puzyrkov. Worked from 1967-2007 in the artistic and production workshops of the Art Fund of Ukraine; Member of All-Ukrainian and All-Union Art Exhibitions since 1965. Personal – in Rivne (1975, 1990, 1995, 2006), the town of Klevan (the Roving region, 1987), Lviv (1988), Lutsk (1989), Kiev (2000, 2003, 2008). The main branches are easel and monumental painting. In creative work he combines the traditions of the national school with the experience of European impressionism. Since 1968 he lives and works in Kiev. Since 1974, member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Honored Artist of Ukraine since 1988. Participated in many regional, republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. His works are kept in the Lviv Art Museum, in the Kherson Museum of Local History, in the Ukrainian Academy of Arts in Kiev, in the museums of Chernigov, in the Rovno Historical Museum. Works Zvyagintseva RM are stored in private collections in Ukraine, England, France, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, Belgium, USA, Canada. In his art, the painter consistently continues the tradition of easel Ukrainian painting. The world of paintings by the artist Rostislav Mikhailovich Zvyagintsev is a world of modest, painfully intimate, native nature of Ukraine. In every work, in a large picture, or in a small sketch, a piece of the artist’s soul is invested.
