Zhezher Anatoly Mikhailovich

Soviet Ukrainian painter. Honored Artist of Ukraine from 2014. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. He was born in 1937 in Dneprodzerzhinsk, Dnepropetrovsk region. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1978. He graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk State Art College in 1961, teachers – People’s Artist of Ukraine G.G. Chernyavsky, Honored Artists of Ukraine M.I. Rodzin and MS Borovsky. He worked as a designer in Dnepropetrovsk: since 1959 – at the advertising complex “Ukrtorgmontazh”; Since 1965 – the teacher of the Rivne Children’s Art School; From 1973-89 – at the Dnipropetrovsk Artistic and Industrial Combine. Participated in exhibitions since 1961. He has participated in regional exhibitions since 1961, republican exhibitions since 1967, all-Union exhibitions since 1969. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1978. Works are in the Dnepropetrovsk Art Museum, Dnepropetrovsk National Historical Museum. D. I. Yavornytsky, the museum of the history of the city of Dneprodzerzhinsk, private collections (Ukraine, USA, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Finland, Russia). The main works: “Sowers”, “Hunting, worse than captivity” (both – 1967), “The mistress of the lans” (1968), “Autumn warm day” (1969), “Young teacher” (1973), “In native lands” (1976), Silence (1977), Winter (1986), Awakening (1988), The Breath of Spring (1988), The Breath of Spring (1991), Chekhov’s House (1998), Spring Twilight, Rakov, to beer (both – 2001), Ripe Watermelon, Cranes (both 2002), “In the Land of Not Scared Birds” (2003), the triptych “Prayer”.
