Zaychenko Vasily Andrianovich

Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. He was born on March 26, 1912 in Odessa. He graduated from the Odessa Art College (1932), the Odessa Art College (1937), studied at the Kiev Art Institute (1937-1941, 1945-1947). Teachers by specialty – L. Muchnik, Yu. Bershadsky. D. Krainev, M. Sharonov, O. Shovkunenko. He worked in the field of easel painting, graphics, poster. Member of the CPSU. Member of the Great Patriotic War. Awarded with medals. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1954, all-Union since 1958, personal – Odessa, 1956. The main works: paintings “We are again in our native Odessa” (1951); “The Return of the Flotilla” Slava “(1955)”; TG Shevchenko and Ira Aldridge “(1964); linocuts “Gurzuf” (1958) “; Before going out to sea “(1960) and others. The works of the painter are widely represented in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. He died on June 8, 1985.
