Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Alexander Nikolaevich Zakharov was born in 1954 in Voroshilovograd (now Lugansk). In 1973 he graduated from the Voroshilovgrad Art School. From 1973 to 1979 he studied at the Kiev State Art Institute in the studio of Professor AM Lopukhov. The brother of Ukrainian artist Lyudmila Nikolaevna Zakharova. Works in the field of easel and monumental painting. Master of the genre picture. A good colorist. A special sense of color, always a great composition. Participated in numerous art exhibitions.
In the mid-1990s he left Ukraine. The artist’s works are presented in gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
