Биография

Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Yakubek Karel Mikhailovich – Honored Artist of Ukraine. He was born on November 12, 1923 in the city of Uzhhorod, Transcarpathian region. He studied at the art school of Baia Mare, Romania (1943-1944). In 1944, he was mobilized into a workers’ battalion in Germany. He was captured in France. In 1945 he returned to Uzhhorod. In 1945 he entered the Uzhgorod Artistic Industrial School (1945-1946). Member of the NSHU (1964). In 1964 he moved to Lutsk in the created Volyn section of the CX Hood. Fund of the Ukrainian SSR. From 1964 to 1968 – the main artist Hood. Fund of the Ukrainian SSR in Lutsk. Participated in republican, regional and international art exhibitions (since 1968). Numerous solo exhibitions, in particular: in Moscow (1969), in Lublin (1999), in Lutsk (1999). In 1999 K. Yakubek was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. Winner of the Volyn Regional Art Award. Job Kondzelevich (2004). The artist died on December 18, 2008. He was buried in Lutsk. His works are kept in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, the USA, Canada, Germany, Poland, Hungary and are in constant demand among collectors.
