Биография

Ukrainian Soviet painter. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Anatoly Yakovlevich Yakimets was born on September 14, 1943 in the village of Novo-Semyonovka, Chernigov district, Zaporozhye region. The first drawing skills was received in the art studio of the house of the House of Culture “Metallurg” from the famous Zaporozh artist F.F. Shevchenko. From 1959 to 1966 he studied at the artistic and pedagogical department of the Odessa Art College. Teacher: Frumin D.М. From 1966 to 1972, Anatoly Yakimets studied at the faculty of monumental and decorative painting in the studio of Professor VF Berdichevsky at the Moscow Higher School of Industrial Art (former Stroganov School). Thesis: “Zaporizhzhya freemen”. After graduation, the artist returns to Zaporozhye and works at an art-production plant. Member of city, republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR since 1977. Works in the field of easel and monumental painting. Master of thematic paintings, portraits and still lifes. The author of mosaic panels and murals. In 2010 A.Ya. Yakimets was awarded the title of “Honored Artist of Ukraine”.
Works of the painter are represented in museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
