Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. He was born in 1914. He studied at MUZHVZ (Moscow School of Painting Sculpture and Architecture), K. Yuon. Exhibitor of All-Union and foreign exhibitions in Moscow, Paris, Berlin, Prague. Author of numerous landscapes, still lifes and portraits. Master of genre composition. Beautiful colorist. Has a unique artistic handwriting of a realistic painting method with a notable influence of French post-impressionism. Differed propensity to influence non-conformism. The artist’s works are presented in numerous state and private collections in Ukraine and abroad and are in constant demand. He died in 1999.
