Биография

Soviet artist, painter and graphic artist. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Yablonskaya Elena Nilovna was born on August 28, 1918 in Smolensk in the family of an artist, graphic artist and teacher of literature Nil Alexandrovich and Vera Georgievna Yablonskiy. Sister of the outstanding Ukrainian artist Tatyana Yablonskaya and architect Dmitry Yablonsky. In 1934 he entered the Kiev Art College and passed a three-year program in one year. Since 1935 – a student of the Kiev State Art Institute, where he studied under K. Yeleva, A. Shovkunenko, P. Kotov. In 1939 Yelena Yablonskaya marries the outstanding Ukrainian artist E.V. Volobuyeva. In 1941 he graduated from the Institute and, with the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, left for the evacuation to the Saratov region. Until 1943, Elena Nilovna had to postpone her creative plans and work as an accountant. In 1945 she was awarded the Medal “For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.” Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1944. Since 1945 Yablonskaya E.N. participates in the republican, and since 1946 – in the All-Union art exhibitions. She lived and worked in Kiev. Master of easel painting and book graphics. Twenty years Elena Nilovna illustrated books. Several generations of children have grown up in her work. Yablonskaya’s drawings are originally arranged, very understandable for children. From 1945 to 1975, the artist also conducted pedagogical activity. In the art school, she taught mostly graphic artists and sculptors. Her unusual approach to drawing was based on lessons learned from her father. In 1977 he was awarded the title “Honored Artist of Ukraine”. In 2008, the National Art Museum of Ukraine hosted the exhibition of E.N. Yablonskaya, timed to the 90th anniversary of her birth. The artist died on March 25, 2009 in Kiev, she was buried in the Baikovo cemetery. The works of E.N. Yablonskaya are represented in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, in museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine, Germany, England, the USA and in other countries.
