Биография

Soviet Ukrainian artist. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Born September 3, 1925 in Kislovodsk, the Stavropol Territory. He graduated from the Odessa Art College (1947-1951) and the Kiev Art Institute (1951-1957). Teacher by profession – O. Shovkunenko. He worked in the field of easel and monumental painting, book graphics. He taught: “Kiev Art Institute” since 1961. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1956; All-Union since 1957. The main works: “Cast iron went” (I960); “I am tormented, I suffer, but I do not repent” (1961); “T. Shevchenko with his contemporaries “(1961),” Katerina “(1964); an illustration to the drama of T. Shevchenko “Nazar Stodolya” (1964); decorative design of the cinema in the city of Shchorsk in the Chernigov region (1966); illustrations to M. Gorky’s novel “Mother”, (1968); illustrations of the two-volume Lesja Ukrainsky “Poems” (1970); tapestry “Forest Song” (1971); illustration M. Kotsyubynsky “Expensive price” (1980); “A. Block. Twelve”; “AT. Mayakovsky “(1987); “T. Shevchenko “(1989) and more. Works are stored in Chernovsky, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporozhye art museums and in the Odessa Picture Gallery, as well as in private collections in Ukraine and abroad. He died on January 28, 1997 in the city of Kiev.
