Tretub Evgeniy Zakharovich

Soviet Ukrainian painter. People’s Artist of the USSR (since 1983). Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. He was born on December 30, 1920 in Poltava. He graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute (1951). Teachers by specialty – S. Rosenbaum, E. Gornichny, M. Deregus, L. Chernov. Member of the CPSU. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He worked in the field of easel painting and graphics. Major works: “After work” (1954); “AT. I. Lenin among workers “,” Order of Nicholas Schors “(1957); “Death of V. Bozhenka”; “AT. I. Lenin among the workers “(1961)”; “Song of Ukrainian Partisans” (1962 – 1964) “; “Peace to the Peoples”, “Militia” (1983), “The Revolution of 1905” (1974) and others. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1954, all-Union and foreign since 1955. Honored Artist of the USSR (1971). The works of the painter are widely represented in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
