Soviet Ukrainian painter. Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. Born June 6, 1916 in the village of Blagoev (Odessa region). He graduated from the I. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the USSR Academy of Arts (1949). Teachers by specialty – B. Johanson, O. Zaitsev. He worked in the easel painting industry. The main works: “Swallow” (1959 – 1960); “New Construction” (1964); “Morning” (1965 – 1967); “Cypresses” (1966) “; Youth “(1967)”; Noon “(1968)”; “In the mountains of the Crimea” (1969) and others. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1956, all-Union and foreign since 1957. Honored Artist of the USSR (1967). He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and a medal. Works of the painter are widely represented in public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad and are in deserved demand.
