Sorokin Nikolai Vasilyevich

Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Was born in with. Sergeevka, Shirokovsky district of the Dnepropetrovsk region. (Ukraine) on January 1, 1939. He graduated from the Simferopol Art College in 1969. In 1970 he entered the State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin in the city of Leningrad. Later – the All-Russian Academy of Arts. He graduated in 1976 in the field of easel painting. Since 1982, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Diploma thesis in the VAC – “On the Elbe”, the assessment is good. The training took place at the picturesque faculty, the qualification of the artist-painter, teacher was appropriated. The author of a lot of subject-thematic works dedicated to the events of the Great October Socialist Revolution and the Great Patriotic War. He painted landscapes, still lifes and portraits of prominent figures of the USSR. Participant of city, regional and republican exhibitions of fine arts. The works are in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. He died in 2004 in the city of Krivoi Rog (Ukraine).
