Smirnov Yuri Alexandrovich

Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Union of Artists.
Smirnov Yuri Alexandrovich was born July 13, 1925 in the city of Kharkov. Education began in the Kharkov Art College. After the war he entered the historical-battle faculty of the Kharkov Art Institute. His teachers were MG Deregus and PI Kotov. He graduated from the institute in 1951. He takes part in art exhibitions since 1953. Smirnov Yu.A. – Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1964. He took part in the creation of dioramas for Melitopol and Sumy local lore museums. In 1977 in Zaporozhye a personal exhibition of the artist took place.
Works Yu.A. Smirnov are represented in museums, galleries and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
