Soviet Ukrainian painter, an outstanding landscape painter. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Born in the town of Rzhyshchiv in the Kiev region in 1925. He studied at the Republican Art School. T. Shevchenko (1939-1941). His teachers were I. Hvorostetsky (a disciple of F. Krichevsky) and G. Kiyachenko. The influence of these masters, high level of teaching will allow Vladimir Sidoruk to become an outstanding painter. During the Great Patriotic War, he serves as an artist at the Stanislavsky Transit Point of the regional military commissariat. After the Second World War, the artist moved to Ivano-Frankivsk, where he worked as the head of the decorative workshop and director of the Stanislavsky Music and Drama Theater. I. Franco. The result of these creative trips were portraits of “Gutsulka Xenia”, “Dovbush”, “Portrait of Fedkovych”, “Twirl from the Polonin”. In the period 1948-1950 he wrote a number of paintings for the literary and memorial museum of Cheremshina. Having accepted the offer to become a member of the Kiev Cooperative Society of Artists (1950), he moved to Irpen (the Kiev region). Creativity of the artist is presented in three directions: the creation of paintings on order of museums and various administrative institutions, the reproduction of the motives of nature and architectural monuments, the creation of thematic works. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (1957), Honored Artist of Ukraine (1980). Cloths are kept in many state museums of Ukraine, private collections in Ukraine and abroad, and are in constant demand among collectors.
