Soviet Ukrainian artist. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. An outstanding Odessa painter. Shpolyansky Grigory Efimovich was born on February 9, 1899. From 1936 to 1941 he studied at the Odessa Art College. Teachers by specialty – Yu. Bershadsky, D. Shatan, D. Krainev. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR Member of regional, republican and all-Union exhibitions. The main works: “Nakhimovtsy” (1952); “Connoisseurs” (1954); “Lyrics” (1960); “Partisan Nights” (1961); “Fishermen” (1967); “Collective Farms” (1969) and others. The work of G. Shpolyansky. “Connoisseurs” was reproduced in the USSR on postcards. The artist’s works are kept in private collections and galleries of Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Italy, Romania and the USA. All the works of Shpolyansky Grigory Efimovich are distinguished by the vivid expression of the Soviet era with high skill and quality of painting, very rare in the antique market.
