Shirokov Alexey Alexandrovich

Soviet painter. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. He was born on April 2, 1923 in the village of Zemlyanye Khutorakh, Saratov region. He graduated from the I. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (All-Russian Academy of Arts 1948 – 1954). Teachers by specialty – V. Sokolov, O. Zaitsev, B. Johanson. Diploma thesis in the VAC – “In the family”, the evaluation is good. The training took place at the picturesque faculty, the qualification of the artist of painting was appropriated. Member of the CPSU. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He worked in the easel painting industry. The main works: “Shepherds” (1957); “Conversation with Ilyich” (1963); “Severe Years” (1965); “We Swear” (1967); “The Word” of Truth “,” Gorki. January 1924 »(1969 – 1970) and others. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1952, all-Union since 1954. The works of the painter are widely represented in many public and private collections on the territory of the former USSR, as well as in private collections.
