Shelepkov Gennady Andreevich

Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. He was born in 1940 in the village of Kolyvan, Altai Territory. In 1965 he graduated from the Odessa Art College. In 1969 – the Kiev State Art Institute. He worked as a teacher of drawing in Berdyansk Pedagogical Institute, children’s art school. Since 2005, Gennady Andreevich lives and works in Ilyichevsk. Worked as an artist at the Berdyansk branch of the Zaporozhye Art and Advertising Combine since 1976, was a participant in city, regional and republican exhibitions. Actively worked in the easel and monumental and decorative art: diorama and painting, marquetry and carving … But the main love – of course, painting. The Altai cycle Shelepkov was constantly replenished with new paintings. Every summer, the artist visits his native land and brings fresh sketches, on which there are beautiful meadows, lakes, mountains (“Lake Sushko, Altai.” Now he often writes flowers, but he prefers landscapes (at the exhibition you can see the sunny views of Odessa and Bulgaria – “Descent near the Opera”, “Street in Gabrovo”, “Entrance to the Monastery”) and portraits executed in a soft realistic manner (Portrait of a Daughter, Immersed in Meditation). Works in the field of painting as well as in the monumental art. The works are in many osudarstvennyh and private collections.
