Sevostyanov Gennady Kirillovich

Soviet Painter. People’s Artist of Russia. Diploma of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts. Member of the RSFSR. In 1960 he graduated with honors from the Kazan Art College. In 1965-1971 he studied at the Moscow State Art Institute. IN AND. Surikov in the workshop of D.K. Mochalsky (diploma work “In the Volga steppes”). In 1971 he was admitted to the Studio of Military Artists named after M.B. Grekova, working in which, he created such famous works in the Soviet Union as “The Soldier’s Morning” (1972), “The Youth of the Fathers” (1974), “In Their Own Circle” (1974), “Among the Native” (1975), “Serve Motherland, Son! “(1982). In 1981-1982 and in 1983-1984, the artist’s creative trips to Algeria and Afghanistan took place, which resulted in the creation of the series “Performing International Duty” (awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR). Personal exhibition took place in 1988 in Moscow. Works are stored in major art museums of the former USSR.
