Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. Honored worker of culture of Ukraine. He was born on February 1, 1925 in Cherepovets, Russia. He graduated from the Lviv Polygraphic Institute. I. Fedorov (from V. Savin and R. Silvestrov). Lived and worked in Lubny, Poltava region. In 1955-1970 the artist created a series of portraits, among them “Woman in a Red Hat”, “Old Bolshevik”, “Yunka in a Red Sweater”, “Young Mother”, “Construction Brigadier”, and others; a lot of paintings, including works that were on regional, zonal and republican exhibitions. They are “Darkened”, “Mochari”, “After the Rain,” “For the Harvest,” “Holy Colors,” “Where the Cannons Cried,” “The Fog.” From 1955 to 1975 – Director of the Lubnensky Museum of Local Lore. In 1955 he organized an art studio in Lubny. In 1975 he founded the art school in Lubny, where he taught in 1954 – 1975. I was friendly with N. Burachek. Opened the art gallery in 1971. In 1975, V. Semenyuta became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. For 35 years he was the main artist of the m. Lubny. Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine (1980). Personal exhibitions took place in Lubny (1984, 1991) and Kiev (1995). Author of landscapes and genre compositions. Robots are stored in HM Ukraine. Awarded with several medals “For Courage” and the Order of the Great Patriotic War. Lived in the city of Lubny, Poltava region. He passed away on April 26, 1999.
