Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Born May 9, 1925 in the village of Ludenevichy (Gomel region). He graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute (1951). Teachers by specialty – O. Kokel, P. Suponin, E. Gornichny, S. Prokhorov, G. Tomenko, S. Besedin. He worked in the easel painting industry. Lives and works in Odessa. Puteyko V.G. – an artist and teacher. He taught at the OGU. Grekova. Major works: “O. M. Gorky and MM Kotsyubinsky on Capri “(1951); “The Party organizer” (1954); “Youth” (1957); “On the Peaceful Land” (1965); “The Young Collective Farm Girl” (1966) and others. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1951, all-Union since 1958. The works are kept in many museums, public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
