Pavlov Alexander Stepanovich

Soviet Ukrainian painter, landscape painter. Was born in 1905 in with. Zolotonosha, Poltava region. In 1931 he graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute. Successfully debuted at the exhibition “By villages, towns and cities of Ukraine” (1926). Took part in numerous republican and all-Union exhibitions. In the 1950s he worked in the art workshops of the Kiev Society of Artists “Ukoopkhudozhnik”, later transformed into the Kiev department of the workshops of the HF USSR Union of Artists. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Lived and worked in Kiev. The author of thematic paintings and portraits. The artist’s paintings are presented in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
