Soviet Ukrainian painter. People’s Artist of Ukraine. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Mikhail Vladimirovich Nadezhdin was born on May 18, 1935 in the village of. Konstantinovka of the Sumy region. He graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk State Art College, teachers: J. Kalashnik, G. Chernyavsky. Since 1963 he lives in Kirovograd. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1988. From 1989 to now he heads the Kirovograd regional organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Honored Art Worker of Ukraine since 1994. In 2005, M. Nadezhdin became a laureate of the regional award in the field of fine arts and art named after Alexander Osmerkin in the nomination “New Directions”. In 2008, by presidential decree, Mikhail Vladimirovich was given a lifelong state scholarship as an outstanding figure of culture and art.
