Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. Laureate of the Regional Prize of the Lenin Komsomol. P. Artemenko. Honored Artist of Ukraine. He was born on June 9, 1940 in the city of Poltava. He studied: in childhood he attended a circle of fine arts at the Poltava Palace of Pioneers (since 1952); studied in the art studio and drawing at the Poltava house of folk art (1957-1959); at the picturesque faculty of the Kharkov State Art Institute (1959-1967). Teachers in the specialty: KG Kuzema, AA Ivakhnenko, SF Besedin, VV Sizikov, AM Konstantinopolsky, А.А. Khmelnitsky. Artist-painter. Worked in the genres of portrait, still life, landscape. Worked: in the Poltava Artistic and Industrial Combine (since 1967). Assistant of the Department of Architecture of the Poltava Construction Institute (from 1969 to 1973). Chairman of the Board of the Poltava Regional Organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1993), and headed it (until 1995). Teacher of the Department of Fine Arts Poltava Pedagogical University. VG Korolenko (since 1994). Honored Artist of Ukraine (1994). Participated in exhibitions: republican, all-Union, foreign and international. The works are in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Germany, Israel, Italy, Russia, Canada, Singapore, USA. He died on December 28, 2008.
