Soviet painter, graphic artist. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. People’s Artist of Ukraine. Lomykin Konstantin Matveyevich was born on March 19, 1924 in the town of Glukhov, Sumy region. In 1951 he graduated from the Odessa Art School, teachers – L. Muchnik, N. Shelyuto, M. Poplavsky. Since 1951, he took part in regional, republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. Member of the Odessa organization of the Union of Artists of the USSR from 1953. The author of thematic paintings, works of everyday genre, landscapes and still lifes. Since 1971 – Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR. In 1984 Lomykin K.V. received the title of People’s Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. His works are in art museums in Ukraine, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Japan, France, Greece, Germany, Italy, Portugal and other countries. Lived and worked in Odessa.
