Lisovsky organically combine the lines of the South Russian colorist landscape, graphic searches in the spirit of Western European modernism, and quirky objects-“boxes” carrying collages and author’s creative reflections on various cultural phenomena. Valentin Khrushcha, among the Odessa painters and graphic artists of the past – Peter Kanovsky, Peter Nilus, Titus Dvornikov, Vladimir Kryhaktsky – are among the time-honored authors who influenced the world-view of the artist. Alexander is close to the aesthetics of old photographs; in his assemblages, real objects of everyday life of the 19th century, acquired in the context of the work of the quality of the artistic object, are involved. Exquisite, thin, colorful watercolors and gouache sheets by A. Lisovskii are loved by collectors and aroused admiration for his colleagues. Member of group and personal exhibitions in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Russia, USA (1983). The works of the artist are kept at the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the center of Pinchuk and private collections around the world. Lives and works in Odessa.
