Kovtun Viktor Ivanovich

Soviet painter. People’s Artist of Ukraine. Laureate of the National Prize. T.G. Shevchenko. Kovtun Viktor Ivanovich was born on June 1, 1958 in the village of. Mezin Koropsky district of the Chernigov region. From 1973 to 1977 he studied at the Kharkov Art College in Moscow. Lapin. From 1979 to 1984 he studied at the Kharkov Artistic and Industrial Institute (HHPI) among honored art workers of Ukraine – professors E.P. Egorova and LI Chernov, People’s Artists of Ukraine – professors А.М. Constantinople and AA. Khmelnitsky. Since 1985, Viktor Ivanovich – assistant of the Department of Drawing of the XXII, since 1989 – senior lecturer, since 1993 – assistant professor, since 1997 – professor of the department of drawing. Since 1986 Kovtun V.I. – participant of republican, all-Ukrainian, all-Union, international and foreign exhibitions. Since 1988, member of the Kharkov organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 1995, Kovtun Viktor Ivanovich awarded the title of “Honored Artist of Ukraine.” Corresponding member of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts (Russia) since 1996, and since 2006 – its full member. Since 1997, the chairman of the board of the Kharkiv organization NSHU, the president of the International Charitable Foundation. I.E. Repin.
Member of the International Academy of Informatization to the United Nations since 1998. In 2002, Viktor Ivanovich Kovtun was awarded the title of “People’s Artist of Ukraine”.
