Kovtoniuk Ivan Anatolievich

Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. People’s Artist of Ukraine. Kovtonyuk Ivan Anatolyevich was born on August 3, 1935 in the town of Smoldyriv, Zhytomyr region. In 1968 he graduated from the Kiev State Art Institute. The teachers were L. Chichkan, A. Sirotenko, V. Puzyrkov, K. Trokhimenko. Participated in many regional, republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. In 1977, Kavtoniuk IA was admitted to the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 1985 – Honored Artist of Ukraine. Ivan Aleksandrovich is a professor at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. The title of People’s Artist of Ukraine Kavtoniuk IA was in 2009.
His works are kept in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
