Soviet Ukrainian painter. Honored Artist of the USSR. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. He was born on February 6, 1935 in Krivoy Rog. When he was 6 years old, the family moved to the city of Zaporozhye. At the age of 15 Victor Khivrenko went to work as a turner at Zaporizhstal. He studied at the evening school and attended the studio of the famous artist Fyodor Shevchenko in the Palace of Culture of Metallurgists. In 1961 he entered the Art and Graphic Department of Krasnodar State University, then worked as a teacher. In 1969 he returned to Zaporozhye and began to actively participate in exhibitions. He has 48 republican and 3 all-Union exhibitions on his account. In 1972, Viktor Khivrenko was admitted to the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 1989 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. Author of many landscapes, thematic paintings, still lifes and portraits. The paintings are presented in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. He passed away on February 1, 1992.
