Soviet Ukrainian painter. People’s Artist of Ukraine. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Born October 14, 1926 in the village. Mizinovka of the Zvenigorod district of the Cherkasy region. Ukrainian. In 1948 he entered the Kiev Art Institute (teachers: S. Grigoriev, T. Yablonskaya, S. Erzhikovsky) 1950 – the decorative faculty where he studied was transferred to Lviv (Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts) – Teachers: I. Bokshay, M.Leshchiner, Y.Shcherbatenko. In 1954 he graduated from the institute. He defended his diploma in excellent. Specialty: painter-monumentalist. It is directed to work in Chernivtsi. Since 1955 he began to participate in art exhibitions (regional, republican). I took part in foreign and international exhibitions. 1965 – Admitted to the Union of Artists of Ukraine in 1962 – elected Chairman of the Board of the Chernivtsi Regional Organization of the Union of Artists of the USSR (he headed the organization for five terms – 20 years). 1967 – Honorary Diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of Ukraine 1970 – Honorary title of Honored Worker of Arts of Ukraine 1972 – Creative business trip to Germany. In the same year held in Chernivtsi reporting exhibition “On the NDR” 1985 – Diploma I degree and the first prize of the Republican contest for the 50th anniversary of the Stakhanov movement. 1987 – Participated in the work of the All-Union Creative Group in Gurzuf. 1988 – Head of the Republican creative group “By Bukovina” 1996 – Personal exhibition “Portrait” (Chernivtsi) 1996 – Honorary title “People’s Artist of Ukraine” 1996 – Awarded to the creative degree of the President of Ukraine L. Kuchma 1997 – Portrait gallery “Burgomistra” , Premieres and Mayors of the city of Chernivtsi “to the 150th anniversary of the Chernivtsi Town Hall. Major works: “T. Shevchenko at the stage “(1961); “Loggers” (1963); “Cymbalists” (1965); The Internationale (1967); “Youth”, “Hotintsy” (1968); “Oprichniks” (1969 – 1970); a cycle of portraits of noble people of Bukovina (1957 – 1970) and others.
