Soviet Ukrainian painter. Honored Artist of the USSR (1980). Member of the NSHU (1951). Participant of World War II. He has military awards. He graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1950, S. Grigor’ev, O. Shovkunenko, T. Yablonska). Since then he works in Kiev. Engineering and Construction Institute from 1983 – Professor, since 2003 – Consultant of the Department of Drawing and Painting. The main works are in the genre and portrait painting industries. Member of republican, all-Union, foreign art exhibitions since 1943. Personal – in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg, 1943), Alma-Ata (1975), and Kiev (1982, 1987). The works are kept in the National Museum of Art, the Kiev Museum of Russian Art. Author of the textbook “Watercolor painting” (K., 1982, 1991). The main works – “Armenian landscapes” (1970-99), “Heroes of the Underground and Partisan Movement in Ukraine”, “Hero of the Cosmos” (both 1986-90), “Scientists and Culture” (1986-91); “Autumn dream” (1954), “In my native land (T. Shevchenko)” (1967), “Exit to space” (1968), “Meeting of cosmonaut P. Popovich in Kiev”, “Evening on the Dnieper (Lesja Ukrainka)” , “Surgeon E. Sklyarenko” (all – 1970), “Flowers to the Son” (1973), “Camomiles” (2001), “Wildflowers” (2003), “Peonies” (2005).
