Биография

Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Born September 14, 1916 in the village of Koryakino (Saratov region), Russia. He graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1950). Teachers by specialty – K. Trokhimenko, G. Melikhov, O. Sirotenko. He worked in the easel painting industry. Alexander Fedorovich Godunov – Ukrainian painter, who worked in the genre of a thematic painting, portrait, landscape and still life. His paintings are full of vitality, bright contrast, a confident brush stroke. The source of creative inspiration for the artist were the corners of Lake Baikal, the banks of the Dnieper, the magic of flowers. His works have always found understanding and praiseworthy reviews of the audience, high skill provided the works of Alexander Godunov successful combination of high professionalism and talent. The main works: “Recognition” (1957); “Overlapping of the Dnieper” (1960); “VI Lenin at the rally” (1965), “Winter” (1968); “AT. I. Lenin in Shushensky “(1970) and others. Since 1951 he took part in city, republican, all-Ukrainian, international art exhibitions. Member of the NSHU (1954). The artist’s paintings are presented in many state and private collections in Ukraine, etc. countries. He died in 2002.
