Soviet Ukrainian painter, landscape painter, master of genre painting, portrait. People’s Artist of Ukraine. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. Most fully manifested himself as a landscape painter. Was born in with. Bobrik the First Odessa region. In 1940 – 1950 he studied at the Academy of Arts (from Y. Bershadsky, M. Mutselmacher, P. Parchet, N. Pavlyuk). The artist’s friendship with V. Sinitsky, G. Malyshev, K. Lomykin had a great influence on the work. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR since 1976. For 20 years he was a member of the board of the Odessa branch of the Union of Artists. People’s Artist of Ukraine since 2003. He began painting in the city Palace of Pioneers, simultaneously took painting lessons at the House of Folk Art, where he taught Yu.R. Bershadsky. In 1940 – 50 years he studied at the Odessa Art College, which he graduated with honors in 1950 (teacher NA Pavlyuk). In 1941-46 he was in the army (the war ended pilot-instructor in the flight school of the Air Force). From 1951 to 1960 he worked on the construction of Kakhovskaya HPP. In 1961 he was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Nova Kakhovka. All painted canvases (in the amount of 237) the artist presented to the city, where they became the basis for the creation of the city art gallery. In 2003, the picture gallery of New Kakhovka was named after Albina Gavdzinsky. For 20 years he was a member of the board of the Odessa branch of the Union of Artists. Lived and worked in Odessa. The works of the painter are widely represented in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Died May 12, 2014, buried in Odessa.
