Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Victor Kirillovich Gaiduk was born on December 4, 1926 in the city of Zaporozhye. He studied artistry in the studio of the Zaporozhye Association of Artists from 1951 to 1957 with G. Kolosovsky and V. Stupin. Since 1953, Gayduk V.K. participates in regional, and since 1963 – in republican and all-union art exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1963. He worked in the easel painting industry. Author of numerous landscapes and still lifes. The brother of the famous Ukrainian artist Zinaida Gaiduk (1937 – 2012). Major works: “Dneproges named after V.I. Lenin “,” On the Dnieper “(1963); “The Earth” (1965); “Village of Otradno”, “Native Spaces” (1968) and others. Works by V.K. Gaiduk are represented in the Zaporozhye Regional Art Museum, in gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
