Soviet Georgian artist. Honored Artist of the Georgian SSR. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. He was born on August 28, 1920. He graduated from the Tbilisi Academy of Arts in 1952. Member of art exhibitions since 1953. The author of many thematic paintings, portraits of prominent political figures of the party and government. Personal exhibitions: Kutaisi in 1972, Tbilisi – 1972, 1975, Moscow – 1976. The main works are the Avlabar Illegal Printing House (1958), The People’s Holiday (1960), Lenin in the Adolescent Years (1963), The Towers of Svaneti (1970), The Cafe in Karlovy Vary (1975) ), VI Lenin in his office in the Kremlin (1976), Portrait of Marina’s daughter (1979), Portrait of the Hero of Socialist Labor T. Shavidze (1980), died in 2000. Works are presented in many public and private collections in Georgia and other countries of the former USSR.
