Soviet Ukrainian painter. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Konstantin Vladimirovich Filatov was born on October 20, 1926 in Kiev. In 1955 he graduated from the Odessa Art School named after MB Grekov, where his teachers were: M.Todorov, L.Muchnik, M.Kordonsky, A.Veksler. Since 1957 – a participant in republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions. Filatov K.V. – Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR from 1960. Worked in the field of easel painting. Author of numerous genre paintings, landscapes, portraits and still lifes. For many years he taught at the studio of military artists. M.B. Grekova. From 1970 to 1974 he was a teacher at the Odessa Art College. In 1972 he became a laureate of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR. T. Shevchenko for the paintings “Red Square” and “V. I. Lenin. ” In 1974 he was awarded the title of “Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR”. The main works: “Dockers” (1960); “Peresyp. Odessa (1963); “T. G. Shevchenko on the link “(1964); “Red Square” (1964 – 1965); “AT. I. Lenin “(1969 – 1970) and others. Works by K.V. Filatova are represented in museum and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
