Биография

Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Ivan Ivanovich Dubish was born on September 23, 1927 in the village of. Lisichevo Irshavsky district in Transcarpathia. Since 1944 – on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. Participated in the liberation of Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia. From 1946 to 1951 he studied at the Uzhhorod College of Applied Arts, where his teachers were A. Erdeli and J. Bokshay. After graduation from the school II. Dubish falls into the Kiev Art School named after. T.G. Shevchenko, and from 1952 to 1958 studied at the Kiev Art Institute, where his teachers were K. Trokhimenko, V. Puzyrkov, M. Khmelko, G. Melikhov. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Worked in the field of easel painting. Master of genre paintings, landscapes and portraits. Native Carpathians – one of the main themes in the artist’s work. Dubish I.I. – participant of art exhibitions: regional – since 1950, republican – since 1958, all-Union – since 1967. The personal exhibition was held in Kiev in 1988. His works are represented in the Transcarpathian, Chernivtsi, Severodonetsk art museums, in the Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky local history museums, in the Kherson Historical Museum, and in the Kaniv Museum-Reserve. Shevchenko, in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
