Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. He was born on October 1, 1932 in Dnepropetrovsk. He graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1959). Teachers by specialty – K. Trokhimenko, G. Melikhov, M. Ivanov. Member of the CPSU. He worked in the easel painting industry. He taught at the Rivne Children’s Art School (1959-60); from 1969 – the main artist Winn. artist.- production plant. The author of portraits, still lifes, landscapes, themat. paintings. Particular attention was paid to the stories from the history of Ukraine. Master of realistic direction. For creativity there is a generalized figurative solution, spatial freedom of compositional construction, propensity to tone development within laconic color. Some works are kept in the Vinnytsia Local History and Art Museums, National Museum of T. Shevchenko (Kiev). Main works: “Hero of the Soviet Union M. Kuznetsov in Rivne” (1960); “Dreams about Ukraine” (1961); “Youth” (1964); portrait of Hero of the Soviet Union Nikolai Kuznetsov (1965) and others. Participated in republican exhibitions since 1960.
