Soviet Ukrainian painter, graphic artist. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Deregus Marina Mikhailovna was born on April 2, 1929 in Kharkov. in the family of the famous Ukrainian painter of the People’s Artist of the USSR, a corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR, since 1996 – Academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine – Deregus Mikhail Gordeevich. She graduated from the Kharkov State Art College (1945-1950), where she studied at E. Yakovenko, B. Vaks. Member of the Kharkov organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1962. Master of lyrical landscape, still life – a great colorist. She worked in the field of easel graphics and easel painting. Major works: painting “Wind” (1957); “Moonlit Night” (I960); “Spring” (1965); graphics “Twilight” (1961); “Evening in Kirilivtsi” (1964), “Flowers and Fruits” (1978) and others. Participant of Republic, All-Union and International exhibitions since 1957. Works by Deregus Marina Mikhailovna are kept in many museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The artist died on April 4, 1995 in Kharkov.
