Soviet Russian painter and graphic artist. Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Honorary citizen of Sergiev Posad. Born April 28, 1916 in the city of Tsaritsin (Volgograd). In Sergiev Posad since 1933. Lived in Armavir. He studied at the school of FZU in Armavir (1931-33) and at the Moscow Regional School of Fine Arts in memory of 1905 (1936-40) in P.I. Petrovicheva, S.I. Frolova, G.N. Gorelova, K.I. Finogenova. In 1939-42 he worked on works in the Studio of Military Art. M.B. Grekova. He was a correspondent of the front-line newspaper Red Warrior and the magazine Krasnoarmeets (1942). Participated in the fighting as part of the 16th Army. In 1942 he was seriously wounded, lost his left hand. One of the founders of the Zagorsky branch and the Moscow Regional Organization of Artists (1943). Member of the Union of Soviet Artists (since 1945).
