Baghdasaryan (Bagdasaryan) Karen Drastomatovich

Soviet artist. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. He was born on November 23, 1929 in the village of Oshakan, Ashtarak region, Armenia. He studied at art schools in Armenia (1946-1950) and Moscow (1950-1951). Teachers in the specialty: A. Sakhanov, V. Baksheev. Painter. Works in the field of thematic painting, as well as in the genres of portrait and landscape. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1970). Participated in exhibitions: republican, all-Ukrainian (since 1967). The main works: “In the mountains of Armenia” (1967), “Near the village of Buchak”, “Bread fields in the mountains” (1968), “In the Carpathians” (1969), “Native village” (1970), “Lesya Ukrainka in old Tiflis “(1971), portraits of the Armenian writer G. Saryan (1956), Hero of the Soviet Union Colonel A. Scheblakov (1978), participant in the liberation of Kiev, Lieutenant K. Avetisyan (1983) and others. His works are kept in the funds of the Directorate of Ukrainian Exhibitions, the Museum of Lesya Ukrainsky in Kiev, the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko.
