Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. He was born on December 25, 1914 in the village of Stepankah (Kharkov region). He graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute (1947). Teachers by specialty – M. Fedorov, M. Kozik, M. Samokish. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He worked in the easel painting industry. He taught at KhDKhU (1946 – 1941). Exhibitions: Kharkov in 1966, 1967. The main works: “The first collective farm spring” (1956 – 1957); “Over the Dnieper River” (1960); “The funeral of Taras Shevchenko in Kanev” (1960 – 1961); portrait of art critic Yu. F. Dyuzhenko (1965); “Storming the Winter” (1966) and others. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1947, personal – Kharkov, 1958, 1966; Kiev, 1968. Lived and worked in Kharkov. He died in 1975. The works are presented in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
