Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Golub Stepan Filippovich was born in 1927 in the village of Yatranovka in the Ladyzhinsky district of the Kiev region. In 1949 he graduated from the Simferopol Art College. NS Samokisha (Teachers by specialty – M. Scheglov, S. Volodimirov). He worked in the easel painting industry. Since 1954 he took an active part in regional, republican and all-union art exhibitions. Golub SF – Member of the Crimean organization of the National Union of Artists. Range of creative interests of the artist is wide enough – historical, everyday genres, portrait, landscape, still life. The master of the plot-thematic picture. The main works: “Behind the Enemy Lines” (1955 – 1957); “In the Kerch Catacombs” (1959 – 1960); “Zaoznitsy”, “At noon” (1960); “Girlfriends” (1968) and others. The works are in art museums of Ukraine and Russia, as well as in private collections abroad: Japan, Germany, England, Italy.
